NEW AD FORMATS: BEAMVERTISING

Manuel Angel Alonso Coto

A new advertising format has emerged form the Netherlands: Holland's biggest chewing gum brand 'Sportlife' introduces Beamvertising or Beam Advertising.
Images are projected on shopfronts and outer walls of houses in several big cities.

In this case the images consisted of skating videos since a a moving skateboarder happens to be the logo of the brand. Sportlife did it to draw attention to a promotion called 'Can you make it to the pack?'. The video ends with a projection of their url, www.sportlife.com and since the campaign is related to a virtual community the want people to join.

Let's se if more companies start using this format. What's once again clear is that traditional advertising channels' fragmentatio is forcing creatives to look for and make up new formats.

Best regards.
