ADVERGAMES FOR CRISIS TIMES

Manuel Angel Alonso Coto

From Germany a student in one of the courses I’m lecturing has just sent me a link to an amusing advergame created by Interone for MINI. It's called Power Slide Parking and it challenges users to push a friend on a MINI Baby Racer right in a parking place.

It's difficult and engaging enough to make you play at least a couple of times while keeping an eye on the collection of MINI cars parked along the street.

But above all, it keeps perfect balance between effect and cost. No more expensive and spectacular campaigns which do not pay back in terms of leads like Wilkinson’s Fight For Kisses. In this times of marketing budgets’ cuts, Mini shows us all, once again, the digital path to follow; don’t you think so?

Best

PS. Thanks, Dieter, my friend!
