One more year has passed by, and once again we would like to share some thoughts with you all.

We would like to start saying THANK YOU. The Marketing Weblog has kept on being one of the leading blogs in Spain and in the Instituto Empresa. This would not have been possible without your loyalty, your comments, your thoughts and your suggestions. Be sure that we will keep on posting and commenting about whatever takes place in the Marketing World.

The year has been a tough one. The economic environment has questioned many of the basics we take for granted and Marketing has not been an exception. A more efficient Marketing is now a must, with clear positioning, specific target groups, reasonable ROI on what we do, great dosis of innovation and of course, a great need to be more than ever Customer Centered.

We enview a tough 2009 where we will have more of what has been described. However, New Opportunities will arise, and those companies that develop and convey real value to their core customers, will be in a great position to succeed.

We also enview a coming year where Concepts like Loyalty, Customer Satisfaction and New Business Models will definitively play a key role. Complemented for sure by new Marketing Tools like Digital and Mobile Marketing.

In other words, we are to start a FASCINATING YEAR. A year where we will go back to basics without renouncing to a “Think Different!!!” Approach.
